Over the years Estudio Shine in Barcelona and the Shine School of Music Johannesburg have been instrumental in modernising teaching methods and promoting the use of telecommunication technologies in the classroom. Connecting our two branches via online classrooms gives our students access to many more instruments and teachers. Shine School of Music was one of the first institutions in the world to start teaching music in one-on-one live lessons via webcam in 2009 and, since then, the innovation has been well received while we ensured that the medium functioned smoothly and the demand for music classes online continued to grow world-wide. To begin your online lessons, Shine school of Music requires only that you have a working device with internet, that incorporates a camera, microphone and speakers. These days most computers have them built in.  If you have a desktop computer, or older computer, you may need to install an external camera, speakers and microphone. All of these items can be easily ordered online, or bought from your local computer shop. You can also do your lessons on an ipad, tablet, mobile phone or similar device.
